Watering and Fruiting
Greetings my fellow adventurers, looking at automating my watering of my garden to better water and be more affective at it. While at the local big box store with my dad, looking at some kits one store had one from Rainbird, but it was more suited towards expanding your drip system. At the other one they had one from Raindrip, and it had more of a starting kit coming with a timer and garden hose connections. I ended up deploying this kit as the starting base for my garden. Automating or manually setting up a drip system to water your garden can help with getting even coverage, watering while away, and helping with heatwaves. The box makes some bold claims with 20-minute install.
The watering system was installed pretty easily and fast. It took some time to get the sprayers angled just right for some cross coverage and making sure it was all covered. This kit made it easy to get into drip systems and make it over whelming. which would my guess about the Rainbird kit, now I can use that Rainbird kit to expand on this system, possibility to water the sides of my house where I have some seeds and flowers planted. I currently have the system setup to water for 90-minutes every 2 days. The timer has only basic functions and it goes off when the based off when you set it up, it does have some manual watering and rain delay controls in it that doesn’t affect set timing. The sprayers have about a 6.5Ft spray span and the water coverage seems to even. I will probably do some redesign later when the plants get bigger.
I got some new Cuecumber plants both from a store and a co-worker. The little guys I got from a co-worker and the big one from a store.
I noticed today that when I was watering them, I had some plants fruiting. My Sweet Pepper and bell pepper plant have started to produce peppers, Iam going to look into how to tell when ready to pick. My Beef Steak Tomato plants have started to grow fruit, and for these guys, I’m going to look to stake them or netting them up to help with supporting the weight of these heavy tomatoes.
